Roots Grow in the Dark

No root has ever complained about the darkness.

It understands something the leaves cannot.

Depth is built where sunlight cannot reach.

The strongest tree in the garden owes its height to the work no one ever sees.

Perhaps darkness has been mistaken for absence.

Sometimes it is simply preparation.
